For someone like me who loves to cook, my favorite recipes to make belong to my family. Last year I told you about my feature wall in my kitchen, which has hand-written recipes from many branches and generations of my family. One of the recipes that is featured is my Grandmother’s Pecan Pie.
I have no idea if this is an original recipe, or something she found in a cookbook many moons ago, but pulling it off the shelf and seeing her handwriting and special notes really puts a smile on my face. I vividly remember shelling pecans with my mom to make this pie on holidays as a child, and the memory really stands out to me.
