Decorating My New Kitchen

The past few months have been a blur of unpacking, painting and constant decisions and purchases, but I am finally getting to do more of the small details that really make a house a home!Rustic Burlap Frame

One of the touches that was really important to me was integrating my family into my kitchen. I had my husband put up some shelves in the kitchen, and I added some of my family’s handwritten recipe cards with a little burlap ribbon and some cute rustic frames from AC Moore.

Pictured over to the right is my Great Aunt Theresa’s “famous” Garlic Cheese Spread, which is a must at any family gathering! It is not only a great decoration piece but also puts a smile on my face every time I walk by!

I have also included my mother-in-laws Corn Pudding, my grandmother’s pecan pie and my Mom’s pound cake! What an easy and fun way to decorate and make your kitchen just a little more homely!
